The Alabama State Bar and Alabama Associated General Contractors (AGC) will host their Alabama State Bar and Alabama AGC Construction Industry Summit in Birmingham, Alabama, on December 1, 2021. The 8^th Annual Construction Industry Summit will address a wide range of topics, including recognizing and avoiding construction risks; analyzing, documenting, and resolving construction claims; new and evolving construction industry technology; construction opportunities under new federal infrastructure legislation; and ethics for construction professionals.

Cliff D. Bishop, Ph.D., S.E., P.E., Exponent managing engineer, will speak on "Understanding FEMA's New National Risk Index: How to Reduce Weather-Related Risks on Construction Projects" on Wednesday, December 1, at 10:25 AM CT/8:25 AM PT.
