CITY OF SIOUX CITY NOTICE OF PROJECT START-UP & PUBLIC MEETING (OPEN HOUSE)

PERRY LANE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT (STONE PARK BOULEVARD TO DEARBORN BOULEVARD)

The City of Sioux City Engineering Division would like to inform you of the upcoming reconstruction project on Perry Lane from Stone Park Boulevard to Dearborn Boulevard. The proposed project will include the replacement of all pavement, sidewalks, and utilities (water main, sanitary sewer, and storm water infrastructure).

A public open house will be held to view construction staging plans and to discuss project components and anticipated project schedules. City staff and engineers from the design consultant team, HGM Associates, Inc., and representatives from the contractor, Sioux City Engineering will be in attendance to discuss project exhibits and answer any questions.

In preparation of the project, the Contractor and their Subcontractors will be on-site completing sanitary sewer main cleaning and televising starting the week of April 22, 2024. These activities may take place overnight or during early morning hours when the flows are at their lowest. Construction of the temporary parking lot and paving removals in Stage 1 (east portion) are anticipated to start on May 6, 2024. Additional information will be provided via a door hanger prior to construction start up and will be available at the public meeting open house.

Please come at a time that works best as there is no formal presentation. You are free to come and go during this time.

Homeowner Responsibility:
• Remove irrigation from City right-of-way.
• Remove decorative landscaping, rock, mailboxes, etc. that you wish to salvage from City right-of-way.
• Continue to set garbage & recycling at the end of your driveway to be picked up on scheduled day by the contractor (Please label bins with your address to ensure they are returned).
• Park in temporary parking area during your stage of construction.
• Pick up mail from temporary mail boxes located near the end of the closed street.

Contractor Responsibility:
• Contractor will coordinate with property owners to minimize impact on individual properties.
• Contractor will collect garbage & recycling on scheduled day & return bins to end of driveways.
• Contractor will set up a mass mail box location at end of closed street as coordinated with the postal service to continue services.
