Halifax District RCMP is warning residents of the Colby Village area of Cole Harbour of three recent break-ins. Three homes were entered in Colby Village during the past two nights. This occurred while the residents of the homes were at home and were asleep at the time.
The suspect(s) took keys, identification, shoes, and food from the homes. No one was hurt and the RCMP is asking residents to take precautions to protect themselves. Police are reminding residents to lock their homes at night and report any suspicious activity immediately to Halifax District RCMP by calling 902-490-5020 or 911 in an emergency.
Some of the victims of these incidents contacted police several hours after they discovered them, which significantly decreases the likelihood of police being able to identify the suspect(s).
