State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING - China's State Council announced the appointment and removal of officials on June 10.

Wang Yang was appointed as vice-minister of transport; Liu Weiping as vice-minister of water resources; Lin Tao as deputy head of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS); Lu Jiang as deputy head of the national administration of disease prevention and control; and Jiang Xiwei as vice-president of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Xian Zude was removed from the post of deputy head of the NBS.
