The Far Left yet again attacks Voter ID
Today, Far Left activists will challenge North Carolina's Voter ID law yet again.
For over a decade, Far-Left Democrats and their activist base have obstructed, undermine, and fought a common sense election integrity measure at every step.
- Nevermind that over 80% of voters support Voter ID.
- Or that the people of North Carolina voted to enshrine it in our Constitution.
- Or that an African-American Democrat sponsored the bill in the General Assembly.
- On top of that, it's already been used in two elections.
None of that matters to the obstructionist Far Left.
Consider that in the two elections where Voter ID has been in effect, 99.91% and 99.94% of voters showed identification.
Consider that just 1,185 voters cast provisional ballots for reasons related to photo ID in the March 5, 2024 primary, equating to 6.6 ballots out of every 10,000 cast. Of those, 59% ultimately counted.
What are we still doing here?
"Voter ID is settled law. Efforts to undermine it only weaken the integrity and confidence in our elections. The people of our state have been very clear. The plaintiffs in this case, aided by an activist Obama-appointed judge, are undermining their will yet again," said NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons.
