SAN ANTONIO (April 22, 2021) - Today, Councilwoman Rebecca J. Viagran planted a beautiful Texas Rosebud tree on Brooks campus in honor of Earth Day. The tree was planted at the dog park that she, along with Brooks, worked on starting in 2019. It is one of the three dog parks she advocated for in District 3 during her tenure.
'Today we pause and think about the environment, as we all play a vital role in preserving it for future generations. Our planet is the only one we have therefore, protection of our environment is critically important. Every step we take makes a difference and I encourage you to do something good for the environment today - whether it be planting a tree or recycling, please give back to your local community. Every action we take can have a real impact and by taking care of our environment we take care of each other.'
