Cross Country Teams Wrap Up 2019 Season at NCAA Midwest Regional

WINNECONNE, Wis. - The Illinois College men's and women's cross country teams concluded their 2019 seasons on Saturday with the NCAA Midwest Regional, hosted by UW-Oshkosh. The Blueboys finished 32nd in the 8k race in the morning, while the Lady Blues were 33rd in the 6k in the early afternoon.

Two Blueboy runners set PRs in the 8k on Saturday morning, led by Eduardo Fulgencio and his time of 28:03.5. Grant Seniker was next for Illinois College with a time of 28:33.8 and Steven Melin also crossed the finish line in under 29 minutes with a time of 28:55.1. Jacob Fedderke ran the course in 29:44.5 and the final scorer for the Blueboys was Parker Perrine with a PR of 31:06.5.

Lucas Brown (31:58.8) and Anthony Canton (32:21.8) also competed for Illinois College on the day.

In the women's race, set a PR in the 6k in her final cross country competition for the Lady Blues with a team-best time of 26:51.2. was next for IC in 28:09.0. and finished side-by-side with times of 29:02.9. The final runner for the Lady Blues was , who clocked in at 33:35.7.

With cross country season complete, the focus now shifts to indoor track & field season. Illinois College is back in action at the Illinois Wesleyan Titan First Chance Meet in Bloomington, Ill. on Dec. 7.
