Dallas ISD News: Dallas ISD COVID-19 Update: July 14

NEWS RELEASE
For Immediate Release: July 14, 2021

DALLAS - Dallas ISD, through the Dallas Education Foundation, received a $10,000 donation from the Dallas Mavericks and the player Kristaps Porzingis, in partnership with Whataburger, as part of the KrisStops campaign, which aims to provide meals to children and families in need in North Texas. The district will allocate the funds to identified families through the Parent Advocacy and Support Services Department.

Summer meals are available through curbside pickup or on-site eating
During the summer, our Food and Child Nutrition Services continues to provide free meals to all children. Our curbside pickup service is scheduled every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at selected schools. Also, we are providing on-site meals to children up to 18 years old at participating sites. Families only have to find a site and have their child show up for breakfast and lunch to enjoy healthy meals.

Dallas ISD will host job fair to recruit new teachers
As the beginning of next school year approaches, we are still looking for top talent to join our team of teachers. To fill these positions, we're inviting interested candidates to our in-person job fair at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, at Skyline High School. Applicants will have the opportunity to meet and interview in person with our principals and hiring teams.

Applicants are encouraged to apply prior to the event by filling out the online form. To register for the job fair, click here.
