A tactical exercise to protect a military facility from a massive missile attack by a mock enemy was conducted in the Krasnodar territory with the air defense formation of the Southern Military District.
The S-300V4 SAMS crews relocated to the field command post area, completed engineering equipment for the launch positions, and went on combat duty.
When conducting a tactical draw for anti-aircraft gunners of the Southern Military District, the situation was simulated to repel a massive missile attack of a mock enemy, the crews performed successful electronic missile launches, destroying the targets indicating cruise missiles.
The servicemen met the standards for searching, detecting, classifying and tracking a group of air targets.
Special attention was paid to the camouflage of the complexes, including taking into account the terrain and weather conditions, a smoke screen was put up to mislead the 'enemy'.
In total, about 200 military personnel of the Southern Military District took part in the exercise, and about 30 pieces of equipment were involved.
