The participants of the joint Russian-Belarusian-Serbian tactical exercise Slavic Brotherhood-2021 worked out the issues of the relocation of national contingents over long distances in a combined way.

The grand opening of the active phase of the international exercise Slavic Brotherhood-2021, which will last until June 18 this year, took place today at the training ground of the Novorossiysk guards mountain assault unit near the city of Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar territory.

'We moved here in two stages - the equipment arrived by a railway echelon, and the personnel arrived in an air echelon. Including the issues of regrouping at such distances, in preparation for the exercise, they find their application and development,' said the Deputy commander of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, Colonel Vladimir Bely.

Before the start of the active phase of the international exercise, the units from the participating countries were trained, conducted training and coordination of units, passed tests on safety requirements.

In total, about 100 servicemen from the combined special forces unit of the Republic of Serbia, more than 300 paratroopers from the Republic of Belarus on 60 units of regular military equipment that arrived at the training site by rail, and more than 500 servicemen and more than 100 units of military equipment of the Novorossiysk guards airborne assault mountain unit of the Airborne troops take part in the joint exercise, which takes place from 8 to 16 June this year.

The Slavic brotherhood exercises is held regularly since 2015. The first joint tactical exercise of paratroopers Slavic Brotherhood took place in 2015 in the Krasnodar territory. In 2020, a joint exercise was held at the Brest training ground in the Republic of Belarus.
