Duty forces of the Russian-Serbian air defence group at Slavic Shield 2021 exercise repel air raid

14.10.2021 (21:00)

As part of the Slavic Shield 2021 Russian-Serbian exercise, air crews of the Serbian Air Force and Air Defence Forces performed flights as control targets to check the duty forces of the joint Russian-Serbian mixed air defence group.

More than 20 aircraft took off, including helicopters, small and transport aircraft, and fighter aircraft.

Aircraft of various classes had to overcome the duty zones of the air defence forces unnoticed by radar stations. For these purposes, the crews of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces of Serbia performed flights, approaching the zone of responsibility of joint duty shifts from different directions, at different heights and speeds. Some of the crews turned off the identification systems at extremely low altitudes.

Aviation flights were carried out during the day and night and were recorded by means of objective control.

The combat crews of the Russian-Serbian mixed grouping of air defence forces and means at the Pasulyansk-Levade training ground practiced the detection of air targets, their classification and the issuance of information to the joint command post of the created air defence group, and also repelled an air raid with imitation of launches of anti-aircraft guided missiles.
