U.S. Chamber Expresses Concerns About OSHA Walkaround Rule

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Workplace Policy Marc Freedman released the following statement after the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued a new rule on the Worker Walkaround Representative Designation Process:

"We are disappointed OSHA has chosen to inject union organizing tactics into inspections that should be focused solely on workplace safety. This regulation further demonstrates this Administration's determination to aid unions whenever possible, even at the expense of an agency's core mission. The Chamber is considering all options, including litigation, in response to this flawed rule."
