Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, during a working trip to the Northern Fleet, inspected the development of military and social infrastructure in the Gadzhievo submarine garrison (Murmansk region).

General of the Army Sergei Shoigu heard a report from the command of the Northern Fleet on the development of the infrastructure of the military camp and instructed to prepare a comprehensive plan for the improvement of the garrison.

By now, one kindergarten and two secondary schools are already operating here, which fully satisfy the needs of the families of military personnel.

The Minister of Defence was informed that by this year it is planned to complete the construction and commission three residential buildings in Gadzhievo, which will fully resolve the issue of providing servicemen with living quarters.

Currently, the garrison is building three residential buildings with 300 apartments. A total of eight houses are planned for construction in the residential area, five of which have already been commissioned and inhabited.

During the construction of housing, the previously proven standard projects of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation are used, taking into account the local characteristics of the soil of the building sites and the harsh climate.
