Lane closures for drivers near T2

ST. LOUIS, MO (October 22, 2021): Beginning Tuesday, October 26, Metro Transit will begin the biennial inspection of the elevated MetroLink tracks that run just east of St. Louis Lambert International Airport's (STL) Terminal Two (T2) to STL's Terminal One (T1). The inspection is divided into 12 stages.

Stage one commences on Tuesday at 7 a.m. During stage one of the inspection, one of two westbound lanes of Lambert International Boulevard (LIB) will be closed. The closure begins just west of the intersection of LIB and Arrivals Drive going westbound for approximately 800 feet (see accompanying diagram). The westbound entrance to the T2 garage and the garage exit will remain open during this phase of the inspection. Stage one of the inspection is scheduled to end at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 28.

As the inspection moves to other sections of the MetroLink tracks, the public can expect other various lane closures as well as rerouting of traffic. Announcements by STL will be made prior to any traffic pattern changes. This MetroLink project is scheduled to be completed on November 13.
