Town of Davie Utilities Department to Commence a Water Main Improvement Project Along Southwest 48th

TOWN OF DAVIE UTILITIES DEPARTMENT TO COMMENCE A WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

ALONG SOUTHWEST 48TH STREET

DAVIE, Fla. - The Town of Davie Utilities Department will commence a water main improvement project along Southwest 48th Street between Southwest 65th Avenue and Southwest 66th Terrace, including Southwest 66th Way and Southwest 65th Way (see map below). The project is scheduled to begin May 13, 2024, and is anticipated to conclude by October 2024.

Murphy Pipeline, Inc. will perform the work, including replacing the existing water main and installing a new 6-inch water main. The new water main will provide better fire protection and service pressure. Construction will take place Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What to Expect:

• Outdoor Noise - While the work is being completed, there will be noise in the work area from the crews operating the equipment necessary for the installation of the new reclaimed water mains.
• Traffic Disruptions - Work will be completed within the swale areas and roads will remain open for traffic flow.
