Update Report Train Derailment Caliente CA UPRR Mojave Subdivision

On Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 3:45 a.m., we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Caliente, CA which affected the main track. Caliente, CA is approximately 27 miles east of Bakersfield, CA. Union Pacific and BNSF Railway personnel are responding to assess the derailment site. The current estimated time of opening the main track is 8:00 p.m. CDT.
