Combat crews of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems of the Baltic Fleet hit training targets at the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region

Combat crews of anti-aircraft missile units of the Baltic Fleet's air defence formations conducted complex firing at the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region.

Shooting was carried out both from specially equipped combat positions and during march to new positional areas. During the tactical exercise, special attention was paid to simulating real combat conditions with the use of air and space attack weapons by a mock enemy.

As part of the exercise, the Baltic Fleet air defence specialists practiced camouflaging their positions, prepared anti-aircraft missile systems for combat use in the daytime and at night for ten targets simultaneously.

The culmination of the exercise at the Ashuluk training ground was missile launches from the S-400 systems at high-altitude, supersonic, low-flying, maneuvering, ground and ballistic targets, denoting fighters, cruise missiles and other weapons of a mock enemy.

In total, more than 200 servicemen took part in the tactical live-fire exercise, which took place this week in the Astrakhan region, about 20 pieces of weapons, military and special equipment were involved.
