Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex enters next phase of reopening

The universe of opportunities to learn about the past, present and future of space exploration is expanding at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Cape Canaveral, Fla., as it enters the next phase of reopening to the public since the COVID-19 pandemic.

In keeping with the downward trend of new infections nationwide and the growing number of fully vaccinated U.S. citizens, the visitor complex is expanding its operating hours, opening additional dining options and more.

'We have seen a big increase in demand for admission tickets as well as launch viewing packages over the past few months at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex,' said Therrin Protze, COO of Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, which Delaware North operates for NASA. 'We are thrilled that the country is back on a healthier path and that the CDC guidelines now support our opening up more options to inspire, educate and entertain our guests.'

Beginning June 14, guests can enjoy expanded hours of operation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and earlier bus transportation to Apollo/Saturn V Center, starting at 9:30 a.m. Dining options will also expand, including the opening of Red Rock Grill, Moon Rock Cafe (with a revised menu) and the Popcorn Cart.

Eyes on the Universe, a live presentation that showcases the farthest reaches of the universe via 3D 4K resolution images from deep space, will also be added to the daily attractions. The Space Person character will also have more appearances with the addition of an 8:45 a.m. greeting at the front entrance.
