Florida Resident Arraigned on Multiple Securities, Grand Theft and Theft Charges

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) - Garry Savage, Sr., 78, of Naples, Florida, was arraigned in the Erie County Common Pleas Court on Monday after being extradited from Collier County, Florida, where he was arrested April 14 on charges that he defrauded 13 Ohioans.

He was indicted in November 2021 by an Erie County grand jury on 86 felony counts including:
• 18 counts of false representations in the sale of securities,
• 18 counts of securities fraud,
• 21 counts of fraudulent, deceptive, or manipulative conduct as an investment adviser,
• 18 counts of sales of unregistered securities,
• four counts of theft from a person in a protected class,
• three counts of grand theft, and
• four counts of aggravated theft.

The indictment alleges that Savage sold investments to Ohio investors in Coast to Coast Chill, Inc., a Nevada corporation owned and operated by Savage. The funds were to be invested by Coast to Coast Chill, Inc., in The Joseph Company International, to build a manufacturing facility in Youngstown, Ohio, for the manufacture of self-chilling beverage cans. The indictment alleges that investors' funds were misappropriated.

The indictment followed a criminal referral by the Ohio Division of Securities.
Savage's Ohio investment Adviser Representative license, along with the Ohio Investment Adviser Representative license of his firm, Advanced Strategies Agency, Inc., were revoked by the Division of Securities on Dec. 6, 2019, in Division Order No. 19-031.

Savage remains in the Erie County jail with bond set at $2,390,000. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for June 6.
This case is being prosecuted by the Office of the Ohio Attorney General-Special Prosecutions Division and presented by Senior Assistant Attorney General Dan Kasaris.
