Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri

May 6 - 12, 2024

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.- The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area May6-12, 2024.Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures whichcould cause delays.  

All Counties

Moving operations such as brush cuttingand pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.   

Boone County

Missouri Route 163 - Utility work planned May 6- 10at Tom Bass Road. One lane will be closedbetween 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Work is being done by Missouri Department of Conservation under a MoDOT-issued permit.

Missouri Route 124 -Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continue in the city of Hallsville. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

Route B -Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continue in the city of Hallsville. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

Route 163- Pavement repairs begin May 6 starting at Route K, progressingnorth to Interstate 70. One lane will be closedbetween 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

I-70- Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

Callaway County

Route A -Culvert replacement planned May 6 - 9. All lanes will beCLOSED from County Road 154 to County Road 181, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Motorists will need to seek an alternative route.

Route B -Pavement repair planned May 6 - 9 for the entire route. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Eastbound U.S. Route 54 - Widening continues oneastbound U.S. Route 54 from the Missouri River Bridge to the U.S. Route 63 interchange. Work is on the left shoulderbehind a temporary barrier. A 10-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024. 

Missouri Route 94 - Shoulder work continues from the U.S. Route 54 interchange to Wehmeyer Drive. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024. 

Route H- Bridge rehabilitation continuesover U.S. Route 54. One lane will remain open and temporary traffic signals will guide motorists through the work zone. A 17-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

Camden County

Routes O and EE -Pavement repair planned May 6- 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

U.S. Route 54 - Bridge painting begins May 6 at the Grand Glaize Arm of Lake of the Ozarks Bridges.Ramp closures possiblefrom U.S. Route 54 to Osage Beach Parkway. Message boards will directmotorists to use an alternate route.The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.

Cole County

Route B -Culvert repair planned May 6 from Route E to GigginsCreek Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

U.S. Route 50 - Bridge maintenance planned May 7-8over Lafayette Street. One lane will remain open in each direction. 

Business 50 (Missouri Boulevard) -Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continuesin the city of Jefferson. One lane will remain open in each direction. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

Cooper County

I-70- Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

Crawford County

Missouri Route 19 -Pavement repair continues May 6-9from Winn Road to the city limits of Cuba. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 19 - Shoulder work continues May 6 - 9from Grand Road to McCormick Roadand from the City of Cuba to the Gasconade County line. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route8- Shoulder workcontinues May 6 - 9from ButtsRoad to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route E - Pavement repair planned May 6 - 9 for the entire route. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route M - Shoulder work continues May 6 - 9from Route 8 to Route YY. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route VV - Shoulder work continues May 6 - 9from Route M to Route 19. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

I-44- Pavement repaircontinues from just west of Cuba to the Franklin County line.One lane will remain open. The project, which includes resurfacing, is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

Gasconade County

Route P- Pavement repair planned May 6 - 9 for the entire route. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Routes Tand V- Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024. 

Route EE- Road resurfacing continuesfrom Missouri Route 28 in Owensville to Route F. One lane will remain open,and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-May 2024.

Missouri Route 28 - Road resurfacing continuesfrom U.S. Route 50 in the city of Rosebudto Route EE in Owensville. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motoriststhrough the work zone.Work will be conducted at night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.The project is scheduled for completion in May2024.

Route 28- Road resurfacing continues fromRoute EE in Owensvilleto U.S. Route 63 (MariesCounty). One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. Work will be conducted during the day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024. 

Laclede County

Route J- Roadside workplanned May6 - 9from Route 5 to I-44. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route O - Pavement repair planned May 6- 9from Route AD to Route Z. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

RoutesFand BB-Culvert pipe extension continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.      

MariesCounty

Route 28 -Pavement repair planned May 6- 9for the entire route. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 28 -Roadsideworkplanned May 6- 9in multipleareas. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

Missouri Route 133 -Culvert replacementsplanned May 6 - 9 in multipleareas. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

RoutesZ andAA- Pavement repair planned May 6- 9for the entire route. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 133-Road resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 63 (Osage County) to Missouri Route 17 (Pulaski County). One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.

Route C - Bridge deck replacement continues at the PeavineCreek Bridge.The road is CLOSED to all traffic. Motorists need to use an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2024.     

Miller County

RouteA-Pavement repair planned May 6- 9.One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.

Osage County

Route D - Pavement repair planned May 6 - 9 for the entire route. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 28- Road resurfacing continues from Route EE in Owensville (Gasconade County)to U.S. Route 63 (MariesCounty). One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. Work will be conducted during the day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in May2024. 

Route 133-Road resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 63 to Route 17 (Pulaski County). One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.

Route EE - Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024. 

RoutesEand U- Roadside work continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2024.

Route Z - Road resurfacing continues.One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.The project is scheduled for completion in June 2024. 

Phelps County

Routes T and P -Roadside work planned May 6- 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

RouteNN-Pavement repair planned May 6- 9. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

I-44 -Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68.An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.      

Pulaski County

I-44- Bridge rehabilitation continuesat the RoubidouxCreek Bridgenear mile marker 158.4 and the Big Piney River Bridge near mile marker 165.8.The project is scheduled for completion in May2024.

Route 133-Road resurfacing continues from U.S. Route 63 (Osage County) to Route 17. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.

Washington County

Route A - Bridge replacement continues at the Cyclone Hollow Bridge.The road is CLOSEDto all trafficand motorists will need to use an alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in May2024.
