Purpose of the session

The first part of the meeting, featuring technology and educational experts, will focus on EdTech and its impact in the classroom, as well as issues around social disadvantage. Members will then question the TUC and CBI on their joint role overseeing the Government's newly-launched National Retraining Scheme and the involvement of employers in teaching and learning.

The inquiry

The session is the third of the fourth industrial revolution inquiry, which is examining how best to prepare young people for future opportunities brought about by technological change and ensure lifelong learning.
