DAME Design Award Special Mention Was Given to Icom's Marine VHF Transceiver IC-M510/E (with AIS Receiver)

Icom is delighted to announce that our VHF marine transceiver IC-M510/E (with AIS receiver) has been given a DAME Design Award Special Mention in the METSTRADE show, held in Amsterdam on November 15-17, 2022. The IC-M510/E has won the iF Design Award in Germany and the NMEA Award in the United States, making it the third prestigious design award for this radio.

The IC-M510/E is a Class-D DSC VHF marine transceiver that allows simple control and remote microphone function via smartphones. The built-in AIS receiver provides real-time information on surrounding vessels (AIS version only). The 3.5-inch color TFT LCD offers wide viewing angles, high-resolution text, and icons. The night mode provides maximum readability even in low light conditions.

The jury praised the IC-M510/E as "A predictably competent and well-designed Class-D DSC VHF from this radio specialist that adds smart phone remote control inter-connectivity via iOS and Android apps."
