Shooting 5000 Block of Ferrell Parkway

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA- On October 20, 2021 at 0752, Virginia Beach Police Officersresponded to the 5000 Block of Ferrell Parkway for reports of a gunshot wound. When officers arrived, they discovered a male suffering from a gunshot wound who was later transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The person who discharged the firearm remained on scene for officers and EMS to arrive and is cooperating with the investigation.

No criminal charges have been obtained at this time and the investigation of the circumstances surrounding this shootingis ongoing.

On October 25th John Moore (28) of Virginia Beach,who incurredthe gunshot wound during the incident in the 5000 Block of Ferrell Parkway on October 20th, wascharged with Attempted Malicious Assault for his role in the incident.
