Billings Public Library receives Excellent Library Service Award

BILLINGS - The Montana State Library Commission has awarded the Billings Public Library the Excellent Library Service Award 2022.

Referred to as the ELSA, the award goes to academic, public, school, and special libraries with excellent service.

"The library is honored to have received this award. It shows our commitment to attempt to meet all needs of library users. We look forward to continuing this mark of excellence," said Billings Public Library Director Gavin Woltjer.

ELSA recipients are selected based on an application submitted by the library's director. They're asked if their library meets the required number of recommendations, and they need to answer a question about excellent service in each category.
