Alice Buchanan Scott Named Technology and Training Manager at Long & Foster Real Estate

Buchanan Scott to support Grove, Stony Point and Tuckahoe offices in Richmond area

Alice Buchanan Scott, founder of The Scott Team of Long & Foster, has been appointed Manager, Technology and Training for Long & Foster Real Estate. Buchanan Scott will support several offices including the Grove office in Richmond, Stony Point office in Bon Air and the Tuckahoe office in Henrico.

Buchanan Scott is currently the team lead and Seller Specialist for The Scott Team. She and her team will continue to serve buyers and sellers with the same great customer service as she takes on this additional role.

A native of the Richmond area, Buchanan Scott earned her master's in business administration from the University of Richmond in 2009. She also has a master's degree from The George Washington University and bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina.

Buchanan Scott began her real estate career with Long & Foster in 2014 after six years focused on assisting Virginia's manufacturers while holding leadership roles in government relations, workforce development and member services at the Virginia Manufacturers Association. She founded The Scott Team of Long & Foster in 2017, which is a partnership with her husband Erik Shipp as the Buyer Specialist Realtor, Patty Alspaugh serves at their Transaction Coordinator.

Recently, the team formed a partnership with her cousins Jim, Tilghman and Matt Buchanan of Buchanan Builders, who have been building quality homes in the Richmond region since 1982. She earned her Brokers license in 2018 and continues her education on a regular basis, having earned certifications as a Seller Representative Specialist, Accredited Buyer Representative, Pricing Strategy Advisor, Certified Negotiation Expert, and as an eRealtor® during her career.
