Christine Lagarde and Constantinos Herodotou in open discussion with students

The initiative takes place in the context of the visit of the President of the European Central Bank to Cyprus on the occasion of the non-monetary policy meeting of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank that will take place on 5 and 6 of October 2022.

Approximately 100 students from public and private Cypriot universities will have the opportunity for an open discussion with the President of the European Central Bank (ECB) Christine Lagarde and the Governor of the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) Constantinos Herodotou on Tuesday 4 October 2022 in Nicosia.

President Lagarde will be in Cyprus ahead of the non-monetary policy meeting of the ECB's Governing Council, which will take place on Wednesday 5 October and is organised by the CBC, following an invitation by Governor Herodotou. The meeting will be followed by an informal meeting on Thursday 6 October. The Governing Council consists of the President, Vice President, the members of the Executive Board of the ECB and the Governors of the National Central Banks of the euro area.
