Traffic stop leads to arrests of Jamestown residents

On January 6th, 2019, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Lastar Farmer, 19, for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd Degree and Sienna Swanson, 25, for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Farmer and Swanson are both Jamestown residents.

Farmer was pulled over on I-86 in Jamestown for a traffic violation and while speaking to Farmer, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and its occupants revealed that Swanson, a passenger, was in possession of a bag containing marijuana. Farmer's driving record revealed two active suspensions. Farmer was issued traffic tickets and Swanson was issued an appearance ticket. Both Farmer and Swanson are scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott Court on a later date. The vehicle was removed from the scene by a third party with a valid driver license.
