Barbara Kirkmeyer Gets What She Wants: 10-Year-Old Rape Victim Denied Abortion

Following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe a 10-year-old rape victim was forced to travel from Ohio to Indiana to receive care since Ohio's six-week "trigger ban" now bars women and children from accessing abortion - regardless of circumstances.

This is the world Barbara Kirkmeyer and House Republicans' efforts to overturn Roe enabled and the agenda they will force if they win control of the House, as they plan a nationwide abortion ban.

Kirkmeyer has made her stance against access to safe, legal abortion clear and poses a clear and present danger to the rights of women and girls nationwide. If Kirkmeyer had her way, rape victims across the country could be denied abortion access under the GOP's plan to ban abortion nationwide.

DCCC spokesperson Chris Hayden:
"Just weeks after Roe v. Wade was overturned, we're already seeing the devastating human cost of Republicans' agenda to criminalize abortion and deny people care. Voters will reject Barbara Kirkmeyer and House Republicans' dangerous plan for a nationwide abortion ban that could force more children and survivors into unthinkable situations and rob them of their futures."
