Pinellas County Construction Licensing Board vacancy announced

May 20, 2022

Pinellas County is now accepting applications to fill one vacancy on the Pinellas County Construction Licensing Board (PCCLB). This appointment will fulfill the remainder of a current term ending on Sept. 30, 2022.

The PCCLB consists of 15 members from various trades, along with building officials, a fire official and two consumer representatives. The Board is currently seeking a Licensed Residential Building Contractor.

All members of the Board are appointed by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) and must be residents of Pinellas County (except for the building official). The BCC will appoint members to four-year terms. Board members may not serve more than two consecutive terms but may be reappointed after a two-year hiatus. However, the limitation does not apply to the governmental building official or fire official appointees. The Board must elect a chair and vice chair to serve two-year terms in those positions.

Each Board Member must file an annual limited financial disclosure FORM 1 by July 1 for the prior year, which can be found online at ethics.state.fl.us/financialdisclosure/downloadaform.aspx, pursuant to Fla. Stat. ยง112.3145. For additional information on limited financial disclosure requirements, visit ethics.state.fl.us/financialdisclosure.

Members must comply with the County's Standards for Conduct for Citizen Appointees at pinellascounty.org/boards/conduct.htm.

Applications can be found at pinellascounty.org/boards. Applications must be received by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. The BCC will review all applications and make its selection at an upcoming meeting.

Please note: All materials submitted to Pinellas County government are subject to the public records law of the State of Florida.
