Associated Bank proud to be part of downtown Neenah

The Associated Bank branch at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Commercial Street in Neenah recently received external beautification that included painting of the exterior building, new signage installation and exterior lighting.

The Neenah-based bank is the oldest branch of the Associated family tree, dating back to 1861. Part of First National Bank of Neenah at that time, it was part of the founding of Associated Bank in 1970 when the company merged with Kellogg Citizens Bank of Green Bay and Manitowoc Savings Bank to form a powerful alliance.

The Neenah branch has been a pillar of downtown since the beginning. As downtown Neenah continues to transform, so does the Associated Bank branch.

Customers and visitors can experience how history is honored at the branch that was restored to its original splendor. A huge display showcases a cornerstone from 1919: a frame of art deco stained glass from the old auto-bank and a collection of leather-bound ledgers, hand-inscribed to reveal the financial doings of 19th century Neenah. The photos date back to the day when the neighborhood bank was central to community life.

Associated Bank is proud to be rooted here, helping our communities continue to transform and grow.
