Storm Damage Parramatta LGA

Due to yesterday's severe weather event, a number of parks in the Parramatta LGA have suffered damage, including fallen trees and power lines.

Council teams and the SES are working hard to inspect, clear and repair the damaged areas as quickly as possible.

More information will be provided as it becomes available.

Affected parks include:

Lake Parramatta Reserve
The lake and park are both currently closed to the public. Once fallen trees have been removed and power lines repaired, the park will be reopened.

PH Jeffrey Reserve
Roof damage has occurred to a building near the tennis courts. The site is currently roped off. It will be inspected and the damage assessed today.

North Rocks Park
Sports fencing on North Rocks Road has been badly damaged and the footpath has been blocked by fallen trees. The park is being inspected for damage and risks.

North Rocks Road is completely closed due to fallen power lines on the road. SES and the power company to inspect and clear.

Charles Street Wharf
A light pole has been knocked over by a fallen tree.

Prince Alfred Park
A large tree is down.
