Prime Minister Nicolae -Ionel Ciucă's meeting with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit

Prime Minister Nicolae -Ionel Ciucă received at Victoria Palace, the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit, who is paying visit to Romania.
The meeting was a good opportunity to highlight Romania's constant position in the relation with Arab states and consistent and balanced approach of the peace process in the Middle East.
During the dialogue, there was an analysis made on the impact of the Russian military aggression in Ukraine, with efforts for supporting refugees were presented, as well as Romania's role alongside the partner countries. The Romanian Prime Minister reviewed the security situation in the region and shared the concerns regarding peace perspective, underlining that analysts have evoked the perspective of a prolonged war in Ukraine.
The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States conveyed thanks for the efforts made by our country in supplying Arab states with grains. The senior official referred to the current situation in the Middle East and Ukraine, highlighting the efforts made by the Arab League in mediating a peace formula.
Ahmed Aboul Gheit invited Prime Minister of Romania to visit the Arab League headquarters.
Our country's constant openness and good relations with the Arab states are premises for solving the problems facing the Arab world and the European states, related to resources and rising energy prices as well as to grains shipments and food security.
