This Monday-June 8 at 7:00 pm central time-we are pleased to offer an introductory lesson on wine entitled 'Absolute Beginners' This fun, interactive online session will be presented by Jane A. Nickles, CWE, CSE, MBA.
Here's how Jane describes this session: Are you just beginning your wine journey? Are you befuddled by the fact that Zinfandel is a red grape? Do you confuse your AVAs with your AOCs? Do you have no idea what I am even talking about? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, then this webinar is for you! We will start at the absolute beginning by defining wine, learning the basics of wine production, clearing up differences between white and red (and rosé), and figuring out the 'alphabet soup' of AVAs, AOCs, and DOCs. This session is ideal for wine newbies who have signed up for our June Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) prep class, but everyone is welcome! Grab your favorite wine and taste along with us! This webinar should last about 90 minutes.
This webinar is open to the public, and there is no need to register in advance.
If you would like a session handout (or have any questions), please contact Jane Nickles in advance of the session: [email protected]
