The Campaign Finance Board will co-sponsor with BRIC a
"Know Your Voting Rights" town hall that examines voting accessibility and how democracy is compromised when voting access is limited. The town hall will air on BRIC TV on Wednesday, October 6, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The program will explore questions like: What barriers to voting do New Yorkers with disabilities face? How does being in jail or formerly incarcerated impact access to voting? Moderated by Brian Vines, the discussion will feature the following panel of experts:
The event will be broadcast live on
BRIC TV's YouTube channel and air as a live broadcast on BRIC's cable channels: Optimum Channel 70 (Brooklyn), Spectrum Channel 1992 (Brooklyn), and Verizon Channel 46 (citywide). The broadcast will include live American Sign Language interpretation. Spanish-language captions will be available following the event via the BRIC TV YouTube channel.
