Public hearings scheduled for four City officials nominated by Mayor Frey for leadership roles

The City Council has approved a schedule for public hearings to consider four nominations submitted by Mayor Jacob Frey for leadership posts in the City's administration.

The mayor has nominated Heather Johnston to the appointed position of city coordinator for a four-year term. Johnston has served as the interim city coordinator since August 2021 and previously worked as city manager for the City of Burnsville and interim city manager for the City of Chanhassen. She also worked as the director of management and budget and interim chief financial officer for the City of Minneapolis and has held positions for state and federal-level government agencies.

Mayor Frey has also nominated three other City leaders to continue in their current roles for four-year terms, including Saray Garnett-Hochuli, director of Regulatory Services; Andrea Brennan, director of Community Planning and Economic Development (CPED); and City Assessor Rebecca Malmquist.

People can pre-register online up until three hours before the hearing to participate and are also welcome to register in-person at the meeting.
