CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Dayna Badhorn, Global Vice President, Strategic Planning and Corporate Marketing, to its 2021 Women of the Channel list. This annual list recognizes the unique strengths, vision and achievements of female leaders in the IT channel, including vendors, distributors and solution providers.

The women honored on this year's list pushed forward with comprehensive business plans, marketing initiatives and other innovative ideas to support partners and customers, helping navigate through the uncertainty brought on by the global COVID-19 pandemic. As Global Vice President, Strategic Marketing, Badhorn is responsible for working across global business units to identify growth opportunities to enhance Avnet's overall business portfolio, financial strength and market value. In addition, she also oversees the strategy, planning and development of Avnet's global marketing initiatives, including branding, communications, and content.

'Congratulations to Dayna for her well-deserved recognition on this respected list,' said Phil Gallagher, Avnet CEO. 'Throughout the years, her work at Avnet has proven crucial as we continue to enhance the value of our end-to-end solutions offerings and secure our position at the center of the technology landscape. She has been instrumental in her new role of helping to take Avnet's strategic planning to the next level of execution and in helping our customers and suppliers navigate through the pandemic while supporting the company's success during our centennial year of operation.'

Since joining Avnet in 1998, Badhorn has held leadership roles in sales, technical support, supplier management and business development. In 2016, she launched and oversaw Avnet's Emerging Business teams to find, evaluate and develop new profitable business opportunities, particularly in the startup space. She also managed the Avnet online communities Hackster.io and element14 prior to moving into her newest role in 2020.

'CRN's 2021 Women of the Channel list acknowledges accomplished, influential women whose dedication, hard work, and leadership accelerate channel growth,' said Blaine Raddon, CEO of The Channel Company. 'We are proud to honor them for their many accomplishments and look forward to their continued contributions to the IT channel.'

The 2021 Women of the Channel list will be featured in CRN Magazine on May 10 and online at www.CRN.com/WOTC.
