The first planning conference on preparation for the Russian-Indian exercise Indra-2021 took place in Volgograd

The first planning conference of representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation and the Republic of India on the preparation and conduct of the joint Russian-Indian military exercise Indra-2021 was held in Volgograd.

Members of the delegations of the two countries began to coordinate the concept of the exercise, the composition of forces and means, the procedure for crossing the state border, and the organization of logistics.

The joint Russian-Indian military exercise Indra-2021 will take place this year at the Prudboy training ground of the Southern Military District in the Volgograd region.

The exercise is planned to involve about 250 soldiers of the Armed Forces of India and about 250 military personnel of the Southern Military District.

The members of the Indian delegation also climbed to the main height of Russia - Mamayev Kurgan - and visited the monument-ensemble Heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad.

The guests of Volgograd saw the main monument Motherland calls!, the museum-panorama of the Battle of Stalingrad, the change of sentries of the honor guard company in the Hall of Military Glory.

The plan of combat training of the Southern Military District troops in 2021 provides for the participation of military personnel of the district in international exercises with units of the armed forces of Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Armenia, Algeria, India, Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

The joint exercises are aimed at strengthening and developing military cooperation of the countries.
