DOE's R&D on crystalline host rocks and on corrosion of commercial spent nuclear fuel after disposal are focus of U.S. NWTRB Meeting (April 16 2024)

The U.S. Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board (Board) will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, and the morning of Wednesday, May 22, 2024, to review information on the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) research and development (R&D) activities (a) related to non-site-specific disposal of spent nuclear fuel (SNF) and high-level radioactive waste (HLW) in crystalline host rocks and (b) on corrosion of commercial SNF after disposal.
