Tuesday evening saw Mijat Gacinovic and Filip Kostic improve their chances of qualifying for next year's European Championship with a win in Luxembourg, while Dejan Joveljic and Marijan Cavar were involved in draws.
The final evening of the international break was a successful one for Frankfurt's Serbian contingent, as a 3-1 win in Luxembourg saw them overtake their hosts and move up to third spot in Group B. Kostic was rested for this particular match, while Gacinovic came on in the 61st minute for Sasa Lukic having been overlooked for the previous game against Portugal.
Eintracht striker Joveljic was once again in the starting line-up for Serbia U21s in their 1-1 draw with Latvia but was taken off in the 66th minute. Meanwhile, Cavar played almost the entire match in Bosnia and Herzegovina U21s' 0-0 draw in Belgium, coming off in the 88th minute. His team are now top of their qualifying group after two matches.
