Oregon State Board of Trustees to consider 2025 fiscal year budget on May 17

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State University Board of Trustees will meet May 16 and 17 and consider acceptance of the 2025 fiscal year university operating budget.

The board will meet from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 17 in the Memorial Union Horizon Room. Board committees will meet from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 16 in the Horizon Room. Additionally, the board will have a joint meeting with the OSU Foundation Board from 3 to 4:30 p.m. May 15 to discuss the foundation's strategic plan.

On May 17, the board will consider also consider approval of the educator equity plan, required by state statute. The board will also hear updates on federal legislative developments, OSU-Cascades, and economic development and industry relations, and hear a presentation on the fundamentals of board governance.

On May 16, board committees will hear briefings on student life and success, student-athletes, campus safety, sustainable investments, human resources and hear a report on the 2024 graduating class. Following the May 16 meeting, the board will hold an executive session, pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(d) to conduct deliberations with those designated to carry on labor negotiations.

All board meetings are open to the public and can be attended by Zoom. Zoom links, meeting agendas and materials are posted as they become available on the board's website.

A public comment period is provided at the beginning of the May 17 meeting of the full board and before the board votes on any action item listed on the May 17 board agenda.
