Thornton COVID-19 Recovery Grant Program

THORNTON, CO…The city of Thornton will accept applications for the COVID-19 Recovery Grant Program from June 27 through August 8, 2022. "These grants are designed to help provide financial support for Thornton businesses and nonprofits that support residents impacted by the pandemic," says Thornton Senior Management Analyst Alice Huang. "There is a total of $500,000 available to both businesses and nonprofits, and more than $100,000 available to startup businesses through the Thornton Business Alliance Center."

For businesses, this grant program can support a broad range of one-time activities, including capital projects and equipment, marketing, and hiring and retention bonuses. There will be a virtual and in-person information sessions available for those interested in applying for the grants.

Information Sessions:

Nonprofits: June 30, Virtual: 1:30-3 p.m.,
In-person: July 12, 9-11 a.m., Thornton City Hall, 9500 Civic Center Dr.

Businesses: July 14, Virtual: 9-10:30 a.m.,
In-person: July 18, 3-5 p.m., Thornton City Hall, 9500 Civic Center Dr.

Business applicants must have no more than three locations that operate in Thornton and have fewer than 125 employees.
