Minister Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma on regulations for Coronavirus COVID-19 Vaccine Injury No-fault Compensation Scheme

The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma as designated under under section 3 of the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002), in terms of section 27(2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2002, after consultation with the relevant Cabinet members, has Gazetted in terms of section 27(2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2002 regulations for COVID-19 Vaccine Injury No-fault Compensation Scheme.

The Compensation Scheme will provide access to compensation for persons who suffer harm, loss or damage as a result of vaccine injury caused by the administration of a COVID-19 vaccine administered at a registered facility within South Africa.
