On Thursday, 21 July 2022, the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Mr. Nikolaos Chardalias, participated as a speaker in the conference organized by the World Hellenic Inter-Parliamentary Association, entitled the "Law of the Sea", in Kastellorizo.

The conference was attended by the former President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Prokopis Pavlopoulos as the main speaker, while the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nikos Dendias also addressed the conference through video message. The discussion was coordinated by the International Relations Expert, PhD of the University of the Aegean, Mr. Georgios Noulas.

In the context of the conference, the executive Regional Councilor of Education of South Aegean Region Mr. Christos Bardos (representing the Head of the Region of the Aegean) delivered an address; the Mayor of Megisti Mr. Georgios Sampsakos attended the forum works, along with other participants.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Deputy Minister of National Defence had a private meeting with the Member of the Parliament and former vice president of the Australian Government, Mr. Michael McCormack.
