Celebrating 30th year anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Pakistan

On May 16, 2022 at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, a round table was held at the Punjab University, Lahore on the topic "30th anniversary of the establishment diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan".

The event was attended by the leadership of the Universities of Punjab, Multan, Peshawar, the leadership of the Center for Strategic Studies (SRC) and a wide range of scientists, professors, specialists, research institutes and researchers of Pakistan's prestigious institutions in the combined on-line and off-line formats.

During the event, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan Ismatullo Nasredin spoke about the strengthening and expansion of mutually beneficial relations between two countries, good and fraternal relations between the two heads of states and governments, pointing out that these good contacts constitute main and positive basis for strengthening good relations between the two countries.

It was emphasized that the global initiatives of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of water and energy, the International Year for the Protection of Glaciers and the role of the Second High-Level International Conference on the Decade of Action "Water for Sustainable Development for the period of 2018-2028" are considered one of the achievements of the country's leadership.

As part of the event, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan gave an interview to the Pakistani TV channel "Discover Pakistan", activities of which are mainly focused at broadcasting programs and reports in the field of tourism. The main attention was paid to attracting Pakistani tourists and investors to the economy of Tajikistan.
