Additional Parking Lot Changes for Corpus Christi International Airport

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - With the recent adoption of the FY 2022 airport operating budget by the Mayor and City Council, rates currently charged in the Corpus Christi International Airport (CCIA) parking lot will change, effective October 1. Parking in the long-term lot will be $8 per day. Parking in the covered lot will be $12 per day. The section of the parking lot closest to the terminal building will now be called "Terminal Parking." Terminal Parking also will be $12 per day.

"These are the first adjustments to parking rates in well over 20 years," Kevin Smith, Director of Aviation, said. The changes were recommended after a study of all comparable paid lots in the City and at other airports in the region. The parking revenue will be used to continue improvements in the parking system.

The CCIA Management team already has worked to improve the customer experience by adding a cell phone lot, pay-on-foot machines both inside and outside the terminal, and new equipment that will speed up the exiting process.

CCIA will be offering expanded free parking in the Terminal parking lot. Visitors can park free for three hours instead of the previous twenty minutes. Airport officials hope this encourages those picking up friends and family to park, enter the terminal, and enjoy the art, food, and future entertainment offerings inside. The extended free parking also will alleviate traffic congestion on the terminal curb, which is reserved for active loading and unloading only.
