State Police arrest Troy woman for felony drug possession

On April 15, 2024, State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol arrested Hannah E. Olszowy, 21 of Troy, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the second degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fifth degree, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, Driving While Ability Impaired by drugs and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On April 15, 2024, at about 6:34 p.m., Troopers stopped a vehicle on I-787 in Menands, NY, for multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. The driver was identified as Olszowy. Olszowy was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. Further investigation discovered multiple hallucinogenic substances and cannabis in Olszowy's vehicle.

Olszowy was transported to SP Latham for processing, where she refused to cooperate with a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) evaluation or to provide a sample to determine the drug content of her blood. She was arraigned at the Menands Village Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash, $20,000 bond, or a $30,000 partially secured bond.
