Tikes N' Spikes Youth Flag Football Online Registration

The City of Las Cruces, Parks & Recreation Department will now be offering online registration for the upcoming Youth Flag Football League from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022 at https://www.las-cruces.org/play.

Costs to register are $45 for new players, which includes a game jersey, or $35 for returning players, who will not receive a new jersey.

To register online, participants will be required to have a recently issued Parks & Recreation (P&R) Activity ID card, an updated annual waiver, correct email address on file, and all must be verified in person by Meerscheidt staff by July 7, 2022.

To obtain a new P&R Activity ID card, parents/guardian's and a child must appear in person at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave., to have the child's photo taken, provide proof of age and to sign permission forms. Cards will be issued from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. ID cards will notbe issued on registration days.

In-Person registration will still be offered from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave.

Space is limited - online and in-person, and both are first-come, first-served. League play begins the week of Aug. 15, 2022.

Age Divisions are as follows:

6U Division- Participants born betweenSeptember 2016 and August 2018.
8U Division - Participants born betweenSeptember 2014 and August 2016.
10U Division - Participants born betweenSeptember 2012 and August 2014.
11U Division - Participants born betweenOctober 2010 and August 2012.

• Participants will be required to play in their respective age division and will not be allowed to "play up" a division.
• Formation of teams is under the discretion of Meerscheidt staff.
• Requesting placement onto specific teams will notbe allowed. Siblings in the samehouseholdmay be placed on the same team ONLY if they qualify for the same age divisionand sibling notification is recorded by Meerscheidt staff duringregistration.
• Switching teams will notbe allowed once teams have been formed and assigned to coaches.
