New York State Police Investigating Fatal Incident West Lake Road...

On May 7, 2024, at approximately 3:34 PM, State Police in Elbridge responded to 2433 West Lake Road in the Town of Skaneateles, Onondaga County for a personal injury motor vehicle accident.

Investigation revealed Christopher J. Hagan age 37, from Oswego New York was operating a 2021 Harley Davidson collided with a 2015 Toyota Highlander operated by Christopher D. Harten age 58, from Cincinnati Ohio.

Initial investigation revealed, the vehicle and motorcycle were both traveling north on West Lake Road when the operator of vehicle attempted to make a left-hand turn into the driveway of 2433 West Lake Road. The operator of the motorcycle passed multiple vehicles in the left-hand lane and collided with the vehicle making the left turn into the driveway.

Christopher J. Hagan was ejected from his motorcycle. He was transported to SUNY Upstate and pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Christopher D. Harten was uninjured.

New York State Police were assisted on scene by Skaneateles Fire Department and Marcellus Ambulance Volunteer Emergency Services.

The investigation is continuing.
