Adams’ State of the District Day Goes Virtual

CHARLOTTE - Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12)is moving her State of the District Day events online due to the continuing public health issues posed by the Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus. Both events will still take place on Thursday, January 27, 2022 and will be hosted on Zoom. The in-person component of the events will be open to program participants and credentialed media only. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster is required for all RSVPs, and pandemic protocols including masking and social distancing will be in force. Media interested in covering the event in person must RSVP to [email protected] by 5 PM on Tuesday, January 25."The continued threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the Omicron variant requires my office to put public health first,"said Adams. "At this time, my number one priority has to be keeping our constituents safe. However, constituents will be able to participate in both town halls via Zoom, and I will be taking questions at both events."

The first event is a "Building Our Future Infrastructure Town Hall" broadcast from Huntersville Town Hall starting at 11 AM.

The second event is the "2022 State of the District Address" at 6:30 PM broadcast from the Dale F. Halton Theater on the CPCC Central Campus in Midtown Charlotte.

For publishing purposes, the simple URL https://adams.house.gov/address has virtual RSVP instructions for both events.
