Greencoat Capital Acquires 55% Stake in Illinois-based Wind Farms
Fried Frank acted as funds counsel to renewables investment manager Greencoat Capital LLP in the acquisition of a 55% stake in a 405MW portfolio of wind farms located in Illinois. The transaction is expected to close in June 2021, with the potential to upsize Greencoat's investment to 80%, subject to agreement between the parties. The acquisition marks the second investment in the US by Greencoat.
